AWS/CES is looking for an HR Manager for our automotive manufacturing client in Pierceton, Indiana
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of Human Resources operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, health and safety initiatives, claims management, training, and compliance with employment legislation.
The ideal candidate is a strong HR leader who can build relationships across all levels of the organization while driving employee engagement, organizational development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations matters, company policies, procedures, and compliance with employment legislation and Human Rights standards.
Identify, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, hiring recommendations, offer preparation, and onboarding activities.
Lead employee development and succession planning initiatives to support long-term organizational growth.
Mentor and coach HR staff, managers, and employees to support leadership development and performance improvement.
Oversee claims management including Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Workers' Compensation, and Return-to-Work programs.
Prepare reports and recommend strategies to reduce absenteeism, turnover, and workplace injuries.
Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives to support morale and company culture.
Conduct workplace investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs that support business objectives and compliance standards.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, occupational health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to evolving organizational priorities.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
HR designation or certification preferred.
5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Strong understanding of employment legislation, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with HRIS systems such as Oracle preferred.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with employment legislation and HR best practices.
