Our client, a boutique criminal defense law firm, is seeking a proactive and dependable Legal Administrative Assistant to support two busy attorneys in a fully remote role. What You'll Do:

• Serve as the first point of contact for clients by managing incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
• Schedule appointments, consultations, meetings, court dates, and deadlines while maintaining organized attorney calendars.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, and client files within electronic systems.
• Draft and distribute professional correspondence and other administrative communications.
• Assist with electronic court filings and legal document management.
• Participate in Zoom meetings with clients and attorneys as needed.
• Take detailed notes during meetings and ensure accurate documentation.
• Update and maintain information within the firm's case management system.

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience in a legal administrative, legal assistant, executive assistant, or professional office support role.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay focused, and manage priorities in a remote work environment.
• A self-starter who is dependable, accountable, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
• Comfortable learning new technology and working within electronic document management systems.
• Experience with legal case management software is preferred; experience with MyCase is a plus.
• Professional, client-focused demeanor with a positive attitude.

Requirements:

• Reliable computer with camera and microphone for virtual meetings and phone system access.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic file management.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Previous legal office experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong administrative support experience.
