Risk Management Officer

Description Assists Director in maintaining/facilitating safety programs to protect employees, guests and the company against harm and maintain safe working conditions at Tribal Enterprises and Tribal Administration Departments. • Risk prevention in the areas of hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fire or other unsafe conditions. • Assist organization with reporting requirements (federal/state). • Ensure the maintenance of records and preparation of reports necessary for casino/hotel operations; prepare reports and correspondence as required. • Prepare and maintain accurate files of safety related issues and records. • Assist Director in overseeing and coordination of emergency, fire and safety evacuation procedures. • Assist the Department as the primary auditor for Food and Beverage outlets. • Review and evaluate work related accident reports for completeness of clarity of data, analyze data, as needed. Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required. Degree in accounting, law, human resources, business administration or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience providing necessary background for the position).
- Valid drivers license and insurable in company policy
- Ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
- Basic operation of a workstation (turning on/off, knowledge of basic functions and components) and general office equipment. Use/storage/maintenance of multiple usernames and passwords. Computer-related problem-solving skills through the use of available trainings and help desk.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), internet software and appropriate storage of electronic files.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
