Responsibilities: Equipment Operation: Operate different types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut materials according to specifications. Set up saws for production runs, including adjusting speed, feed rates, and blade angles as necessary. Quality Control: Monitor the cutting process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Measure and inspect cut materials for accuracy and make adjustments as needed. Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing blades. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered during operations. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production flow. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus. Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques. Preferred Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
