Unit Clerk - Telemetry - Per Diem, 8hr - Days Variable

Description

Salary Range: $38.22 - $43.92 plus applicable per diem differential

Summary of Duties: Responsible for performing visitor and nursing support duties and maintaining a clean and organized work area, including some clerical duties. May also be assigned other duties as required, in addition to performing the essential function of the job.

Educational Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience Requirement

• One year previous Unit Clerk experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• Previous clerical, receptionist, physician's office experience or appropriate medical training preferred. 

Special Skills or Abilities

• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology required.
• Emotional stamina to work in a stressful environment, with good verbal communication skills required.
• Computer skills sufficient to use computer system with accuracy for admitting, discharging, ordering, charging, and patient scheduling.
