Cardiopulmonary Technician

The role involves providing cardiopulmonary diagnostic services with compassion and technical expertise. Responsibilities include operating stress testing and EKG equipment, performing nuclear medicine and pharmacological stress tests, and ensuring quality data collection. Additional duties encompass Holter monitor setup, cardiac event monitor instruction, and newborn hearing screenings, with a focus on accuracy and patient care. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in non-invasive medical diagnostic testing and coursework in cardiology or pulmonary labs. Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required. Skills needed are proficiency in cardiac and pulmonary procedures, equipment operation, data management, and patient instruction. Must demonstrate independence, attention to detail, and the ability to work with diverse age groups. Additional duties involve clerical tasks, supply management, and participation in professional development activities.
