Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth initial evaluations to ascertain patient needs, creating customized treatment plans that reflect each individual's specific challenges and aspirations.

• Engage in regular sessions with patients to establish a therapeutic rapport, actively listen to their concerns, and assist them in navigating their mental health journeys.

• Diagnose mental or emotional disorders utilizing evidence-based approaches, and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and patient progress.

• Educate patients and their families about effective stress and trauma coping mechanisms to equip them with the skills needed for everyday challenges.

• Provide resources and tools that empower patients to achieve personal goals, enhancing their overall quality of life.

• Collaborate with social services, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to ensure patients receive holistic care and support.

• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification while staying updated on best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMHC, your patient population will predominantly consist of individuals who have experienced trauma injuries. This focused demographic requires specialized approaches to therapy and counseling, which will be at the heart of your practice. You will work with patients who present a variety of emotional and psychological difficulties, offering them a safe space to discuss their experiences and engage in effective healing practices.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation in the state of Florida.

• A minimum of three years of experience specializing in trauma therapy or working with trauma-affected patients.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to leverage technology to facilitate patient communication and documentation.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus, aiding in streamlined operational efficiencies.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in crisis intervention, group therapy, or working within community mental health settings will be advantageous. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and the ability to adapt treatment styles to meet diverse patient needs will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
