Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead and manage the Medical Oncology Telemetry Unit. This full-time day position involves directing, supervising, and coordinating all unit functions to ensure exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee clinical operations to deliver high-quality care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service delivery.
• Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead team meetings, daily rounds, and facilitate communication among patients, families, and care providers.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO and OSHA.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels and ensure staff competency with equipment and procedures.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities.
• Provide orientation, ongoing training, and continuing education for staff.
• Manage departmental budgets, space, and resource needs.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and hospital capacity metrics.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience relevant to management and at least 1 year in a management or related leadership role.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, staffing, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with nurse practice acts and age-specific patient care needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to communicate effectively, observe patients closely, and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting. May require variable shift work and potential exposure to infectious materials.
