Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The ER Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients of all ages in a 15-bed emergency department with an additional 6-bed fast track unit. The role involves assessing patient conditions, administering medications, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality emergency care. The nurse must be adaptable to working day, evening, and night shifts and hold a current Registered Nurse license in Hawaii. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs in an emergency setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide skilled nursing care to patients of all ages and populations.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Manage fast track patients efficiently to optimize flow and care delivery.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Respond to emergency situations with appropriate clinical interventions.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in emergency departments or fast track units.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Previous experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration.

• Must be able to work days, evenings, and night shifts as assigned.
