Assistant Professor of Instruction of Voice

Position Overview Position Title: Assistant Professor of Instruction of Voice Location: San Marcos, Texas College/Division: College of Fine Arts and Communication, School of Music Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate applied voice lessons. Prepare student degree recitals. Engage in professional activity in the fields of vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy. Provide service to the School of Music, including recruitment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Music. Required Qualifications Master's degree in vocal performance or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Documented ability and success in training voices of all types and developmental levels at the collegiate level. A record of achievement in vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy publication. Experience working with individuals from various backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications All voice types considered. Experience in curriculum development and innovation. Demonstrated communication and organizational skills, and an ability to work collaboratively. Position Type Full‑time; proposed start date: August 16, 2026.
