Expected hours: 40 hours per week, partial year position (approx. 42 weeks)

Job Overview : We are a fast-paced and high-demand non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff.
• Implement active supervision strategies
• Assist in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom
• Implement screenings and assessments
• Data entry

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, working towards CDA, to be completed within two years of hire (required)
• Associate's degree in early childhood education (preferred)
• CDA certification (preferred)
• Experience working with young children (required)
• 2+ years experience with at-risk population (preferred)

The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, a good communicator, a team player

Physical abilities : Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance
