Must Have:

Proven hands-on team coaching and delivery-improvement experience. Scrum ceremony facilitation alone does not meet this requirement.

Experience partnering with Product Owners and engineers, interpreting delivery metrics, identifying systemic delivery issues, and driving continuous improvement across two squads.

Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience with SAFe, DORA metrics, DevOps/CI/CD, and cloud development.

Experience with GenAI-enabled SDLC practices is highly desired.

SAFe, Scaled Agile Framework:
Experience coordinating and building software within a large enterprise environment with hundreds of developers, rather than within a small, isolated team.

DORA Metrics:
Experience using industry-standard delivery metrics to measure engineering-team speed and reliability. Metrics include deployment frequency and lead time for changes.

DevOps / CI/CD:
Experience using automation tools to build, test, and deploy code to live applications or websites without manual file movement.

Cloud Development:
Experience building software hosted on remote internet servers rather than traditional on-premise office servers.

GenAI-Enabled SDLC Practices:
Knowledge of using generative AI tools, such as AI-assisted coding and testing tools, to help write code, test software, and manage the Software Development Life Cycle faster.

Senior Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead who is passionate about Agile software delivery, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams.

In this role, you will serve as a servant leader and delivery coach for two software-development squads within the Michelin Services Platform (MSP) domain. You will partner closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and stakeholders to help the teams consistently deliver customer and business value while improving delivery flow, quality, and predictability.

This is more than a meeting-facilitation role. We are looking for someone who can coach teams, challenge ineffective practices, remove barriers, use delivery data to identify improvement opportunities, and help teams become increasingly autonomous and accountable for delivery outcomes.

What You Will Do

Coach Agile Teams

• Coach two software-development squads in Agile values, principles, and practical delivery practices.
• Help teams become increasingly self-organizing, collaborative, and accountable for their commitments.
• Facilitate effective Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other team activities as appropriate.
• Ensure Agile practices remain focused on delivering customer and business value rather than simply following ceremonies.
• Promote healthy team dynamics, sustainable delivery practices, open communication, and continuous learning.

Partner with Product Owners

• Coach Product Owners in product vision, product discovery, backlog management, prioritization, and incremental delivery.
• Help teams improve User Stories, acceptance criteria, estimation, and backlog refinement using principles such as INVEST.
• Support the identification of Minimum Viable Products and opportunities to deliver value incrementally.
• Facilitate effective collaboration among Product Owners, engineers, customers, and stakeholders.

Improve Delivery Performance

• Use delivery data to identify bottlenecks, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Coach teams in the effective use of DORA and Agile delivery metrics, including lead time, cycle time, deployment frequency, recovery time, change success rate, throughput, and predictability.
• Help teams turn delivery metrics into practical improvements rather than using metrics only for reporting.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen delivery speed, quality, predictability, and customer value.
• Help teams remove impediments and manage cross-team dependencies without becoming dependent on the Scrum Master to solve every delivery problem.

Enable Modern Software Development

• Promote effective Software Development Life Cycle practices.
• Help teams understand and apply modern approaches involving DevOps, CI/CD, cloud technologies, test automation, and AI-assisted software development.
• Encourage the responsible use of Gen-AI tools to improve planning, development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and delivery.
• Connect teams with appropriate tools, techniques, and industry practices that can improve delivery outcomes.

Strengthen Communication and Transparency

• Establish effective visual-management practices that provide clear visibility into priorities, progress, and delivery health.
• Communicate delivery performance, risks, impediments, dependencies, and improvement initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
• Encourage early and frequent feedback from customers and business partners.
• Create an environment in which information is shared openly, difficult topics can be discussed constructively, and issues are surfaced early.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or in a comparable Agile leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience coaching and developing high-performing software-development teams.
• Experience supporting multiple Agile squads simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of Agile values, principles, Scrum, and modern software-delivery practices.
• Experience coaching Product Owners and development teams in backlog management, story refinement, prioritization, estimation, and incremental delivery.
• Experience identifying and removing impediments and coordinating cross-team dependencies.
• Experience using DORA or comparable delivery metrics to identify problems and drive measurable improvements.
• Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, or comparable Agile delivery tools.
• Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
• Ability to ask constructive questions, challenge assumptions, facilitate healthy conflict, and guide teams toward practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-based application delivery, or other modern SDLC practices.
• Experience working with AWS or another cloud platform.
• Experience helping teams adopt or improve the responsible use of AI and Gen-AI tools in software development.
• Experience supporting Agile transformation, organizational change, or continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Experience working in a large, complex, or matrixed organization.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or a related Agile certification.
