This full-time remote position offers flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends, allowing you to deliver personalized support to individuals in their journey towards recovery from addiction. This position can be performed remotely, allowing you to create a comfortable and safe workspace. This setting is designed to maintain a therapeutic atmosphere while also promoting team cohesion through regular virtual meetings and consultations.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and screenings to understand clients' substance abuse histories as well as their overall mental health status.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address both addiction issues and any underlying mental health concerns.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
\n
• Collaborating closely with a team of psychologists, social workers, and addiction counselors to ensure integrated and coordinated care across all treatment services.
\n
• Providing education and support for clients’ families to enhance their involvement in the recovery journey, thereby improving outcomes.
\n
• Maintaining accurate client records and documentation in compliance with local and state regulations, safeguarding confidentiality and integrity of client information.

This role primarily focuses on individuals facing challenges related to substance abuse, including alcohol and drug dependencies, as well as clients needing support for co-occurring mental health disorders like anxiety and depression. Your clinical expertise will guide clients from diverse backgrounds through personalized treatment interventions, helping them gain the skills necessary for sustainable recovery. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients in various stages of their recovery, from entry to transitional support.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent recognized license.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field, with a Master’s or doctoral degree preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated specialized training or professional experience in addiction counseling and recovery support.
\n
• A strong understanding of evidence-based practices specific to substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Effective therapeutic and counseling skills combined with a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate clients throughout the recovery process.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Hands-on experience providing services in a substance abuse treatment setting, with familiarity in designing and implementing behavioral health programs.

• Advanced training in trauma-informed care approaches or specific therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing patient information and documentation.
