STEWARD ASSOCIATE (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Perform job duties required to maintain kitchen work areas and kitchen equipment in a clean and orderly condition at the restaurant. Location Conde Nast – 1 World Trade Center, New York, NY 10007 Schedule Full time; days may vary, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Schedule details shared during interview. Pay Range $21.00 – $25.00 per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and all other food‑prep surfaces as assigned. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in assigned areas. Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing safe lifting standards. Assists with banquet table and front‑of‑house set up as requested. Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product. Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed. Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Previous steward experience preferred. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must abide by all company safety policies, including use of appropriate gloves, footwear, and lifting techniques. Background screening may be required (Florida Level 2 for certain positions).
