Accountant

Job Title Accountant I Company Overview SCI Technology is a Sanmina Company that serves the Defense and Aerospace sector by delivering innovative, trusted and comprehensive products and services. Job Purpose Prepare monthly journal entries and ensure accuracy of entries by performing monthly account reconciliations, prepaids, overheads, progress billings, advance payments, etc. Prepare SCI expense reports for approval, assist with preparing temporary labor invoices for review/approval, interface with other departments as necessary, ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Government regulations, and assist with internal and external audits. Nature of Duties Accountable for preparing journal entries Account reconciliations Close and balance sub ledger accounts Respond to various Corporate and Plant inquiries Be a team player Be able to customize pace Education & Experience Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting/finance 0-2 years accounting experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) Oracle experience is a strong plus Strong analytical skills Excellent written and verbal business communication skills Requirements Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
