Field Supervisor II - Wellbore Construction

Geothermal Well Construction Supervisor Pay Rate: $41.79 per hour - $70.23 per hour Work Mode: Remote (will be traveling into New Mexico) Summary: Operational responsibility for safe, efficient, and compliant execution of geothermal well construction operations at assigned locations. Supervision of contractor and service company activities on site. Two supervisors assigned per active location on rotation for continuous coverage. Responsibilities: Health, safety and environment: Exercise stop-work authority whenever conditions warrant. Set and enforce safety standards for all personnel on location. Lead pre-job safety meetings and verify permit to work compliance. Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigation. Maintain emergency response readiness, including drills and medevac arrangements. Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements. Operational execution: Execute the approved well program safely and efficiently. Supervise all drilling contractor and service company activity on location. Manage hard rock drilling conditions and oversee drilling operations as per the program. Supervise casing running, cementing, and wellhead installation operations. Manage rig moves, mobilization, and demobilization. Cost, reporting and verification: Track and control wellsite cost in real time. Prepare accurate and timely daily drilling reports and cost reports. Identify and document events that may give rise to a change order. Provide operational input to the Project Manager on cost and schedule position. Escalation and technical interface: Escalate technical matters to the Drilling Manager. Escalate commercial and schedule matters to the Project Manager. Provide feedback to the well engineering team and participate in post-well reviews. Customer and third-party interface: Represent the company on location as the senior operational presence. Host customer representatives and visitors on site. Communicate operational status to non-technical audiences. Support the I&S Coordinator in managing third-party vendor performance. Requirements: Minimum eight years in wellsite drilling supervision or equivalent experience. Experience in drilling hard rock formations and air, aerated, or underbalanced drilling operations. Management of lost circulation and drilling contractor performance on location. Experience exercising stop-work authority. Working knowledge of casing running, cementing, and wellhead installation. Competent in daily reporting and wellsite cost tracking. Ability to communicate clearly with individuals without an oilfield background. Valid driver's license and ability to meet motor vehicle record requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including well control and H2S. Ability to pass and maintain medical and fitness-for-duty requirements. Preferred Skills: Direct geothermal well construction experience. High-temperature drilling operations experience. Large-diameter tophole construction experience. Experience representing an operator or turnkey contractor. Experience on fixed-price or turnkey scope projects. Directional drilling experience in hard rock. Experience supporting customers from outside the oil and gas industry. Familiarity with enterprise reporting and well planning systems. Working Conditions: Field-based role at active drilling locations, often in remote areas. Virtual-based support required during project planning phase. Rotational schedule with extended periods away from home. Travel across the western company states. Outdoor work in all weather conditions. Exposure to high noise, vibration, elevated temperatures, and potential H2S environments. Requires ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
