Physical Therapist – Early Intervention

Job Summary

Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices (SKHOV), a private, non-profit school and center dedicated to supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team. As part of our comprehensive program, you will play a vital role in helping children aged 0-3 achieve developmental milestones and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of children aged 0-3 with autism spectrum disorder or related developmental disabilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, play, and daily routines goals

• Provide physical therapy services in home and community settings, including natural environments and play-based activities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and teachers to ensure a comprehensive approach

• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and support

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy (PT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution

• 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in early intervention or pediatrics

• Licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances
