Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures in the OR, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist surgeons as a circulator or scrub nurse, maintaining sterile technique and managing instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and participate in safety checks such as timeouts and counts.
- Prepare and position patients, manage specimens and labeling, and assist with equipment setup and turnover between cases.
- Coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams, respond to intraoperative changes, and uphold infection control and quality standards.
- Support post-anesthesia care processes as applicable, ensuring safe handoffs and proper documentation.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Hawaii (or eligible per state requirements).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Operating Room nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work 4x10-hour evenings with on-call responsibilities.
- Ability to work in Kealakekua, Hawaii and comply with standard OR protocols and safety practices.
