Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Location: Akron, Ohio

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• On-call opportunities available (optional and can be discussed with the manager)

Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical services in a fast-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have recent operating room experience, strong sterile technique knowledge, and the ability to assist surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare operating rooms with surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment.
• Maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport.
• Perform surgical counts according to facility protocols.
• Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are functioning properly.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and surgical team members.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent Certified Surgical Technologist experience.
• General Surgery experience preferred.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room procedures.
