Our Shriver campus is located right off of Route 2 in Devens, MA and services between 200 and 300 students at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. As a residential program, we function like a mini college campus, complete with a gym, basketball courts, dormitories, full-service cafeteria, wellness clinic, classrooms, trade workshops, offices, and more. Job Description The Residential Advisor provides proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the Job Corps program. Responsibilities include: Assist in unit activities, as designated, including unit government, facilitate student groups, and promote student independent living skills. Patrol and monitor dormitories and center as required ensuring safety and proper behavior of students; resolve potential or occurring problems. Prepare the daily operations report, pass list, updated case notes in system, and other administrative correspondence relating to students. Direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory. Schedule Tuesday, Friday & Saturday, 3:00 PM-12:00 AM Overtime opportunities available Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with youth required, residential experience preferred but not necessary. A valid in-State Driver’s License preferred. Eager to learn, highly adaptable, and a natural problem‑solver. Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
