Building Trades Instructor

Position Building Trades Instructor at Adirondack Educational Center – Saranac Lake, NY. Start date: September 2026. Duties Assess, plan, and provide instruction so students acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes for successful employment or further training. Provide instruction that equips students with the academic and hands‑on skills required to meet New York State education outcomes and standards. Prepare students to satisfy local business and industry standards. Perform other duties assigned by the program administrator. Qualifications Must possess or be eligible for a NYS Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification. Minimum 5 years occupational experience in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, or other related concentrations. High school diploma required; associate degree in a related construction‑based field preferred. NYSED fingerprint clearance required.
