Responsibilities As a Corrections Plumbing Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties: Trade Instruction: Teach plumbing skills, systems, and methods through classroom lessons and hands-on training Crew Supervision: Direct inmate work crews, assign schedules, and review completed plumbing tasks Tool Management: Issue, track, and account for tools and materials used during training and work assignments Material Planning: Identify needed supplies and submit requests to support plumbing projects Record Keeping: Maintain documentation of inmate attendance, progress, and work details Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,868.00 (before taxes). Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade. Other Requirements You must successfully complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
