Work Environment

Located in the beautiful coastal city of Cape Coral, Florida, our outpatient office provides a modern and welcoming space for both staff and patients. This onsite position operates under the hours of Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs and clinical demands. As part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and resources that aid in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop tailored treatment plans focusing on increasing mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote physical well-being and manage pain effectively.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and develop home exercise programs to facilitate their ongoing recovery.
• Administer various modalities like electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as part of the comprehensive treatment protocols.
• Document and monitor patient progress diligently, tracking functional improvements, range of motion, and strength gains.
• Maintain treatment areas, ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are organized and accessible for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Provide emotional support to patients, motivating them throughout their rehabilitation journey and fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards of care while maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting patient rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our clinic, you'll work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related disabilities. You will engage with pediatrics through sports rehabilitation as well as with the elderly, addressing the unique needs of each demographic. This varied client base allows you to employ a wide range of therapeutic approaches tailored to individual recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient physical therapy practice.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, reflecting your experience and contributions.
