Our client is seeking an experienced Hardware Services Engineer to support the reliability, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of utility-scale energy storage hardware deployed throughout the Americas. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for diagnosing complex hardware issues, performing root cause analysis, supporting field investigations, and driving corrective actions that improve fleet performance. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and field service teams, the engineer will analyze electrical systems, hardware failures, thermal management equipment, wiring, controllers, networking hardware, and other critical subsystems. This role also supports hardware upgrades, component obsolescence planning, spare parts strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize system uptime and customer satisfaction. Approximately 25% travel is required to support customer sites throughout North and South America.

Required Skills: \n

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline

\n

• 7+ years of experience supporting industrial, utility, renewable energy, power generation, electrical, or electromechanical hardware systems

\n

• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation

\n

• Experience troubleshooting complex hardware failures in operational or production environments

\n

• Knowledge of electrical power systems and industrial hardware

\n

• Root cause analysis and failure investigation experience

\n

• Experience supporting field operations, manufacturing, deployment, or service organizations

\n

• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams

\n

• Experience maintaining engineering documentation using AutoCAD and/or Visio

\n

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

\n

• Willingness to travel approximately 25% throughout the Americas

Bonus/Soft Skills: \n

• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) experience

\n

• Renewable energy, utility, substation, industrial automation, or data center experience

\n

• Experience with thermal management systems, chillers, HVAC, liquid cooling, or fire systems

\n

• Spare parts management, hardware lifecycle planning, and retrofit program experience

\n

• Reliability engineering and failure analysis background

\n

• Embedded controllers and industrial communications knowledge

\n

• Spanish and English language proficiency

\n

• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and field personnel

\n

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

\n

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, customer-facing support environments
