This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SQL Developer (SQL Server) based in India.

Accountabilities:

The SQL Developer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting database solutions while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server solutions, including queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Analyze and improve SQL performance through query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues to maintain accuracy and integrity across systems.
• Support and enhance ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data, engineering, and product stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely fixes within SLA-driven environments.
• Contribute to database workflow improvements, documentation, and technical best practices.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and support to team members.
• Assist in improving data processes and ensuring reliable data availability for business operations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong SQL development experience, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment. Required qualifications include:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SQL development.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server with a focus on development rather than database administration.
• Proven experience creating complex SQL queries using joins, subqueries, common table expressions (CTEs), and window functions.
• Strong understanding of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and database design principles.
• Experience working with ETL processes and data pipeline technologies such as SSIS or similar tools.
• Experience troubleshooting data issues in production environments.
• Knowledge of database concepts including normalization, data structures, and performance considerations.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, communicate solutions clearly, and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to data quality.
• Advanced English proficiency with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working in data-intensive, regulated, or SLA-driven environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and basic Python or scripting knowledge is an advantage.
