Sous Chef - The Block | St. Louis Park, MN
Join the team at The Block as a Full-Time Sous Chef in St. Louis Park, MN! We're looking for a motivated culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, enjoys developing a strong team, and takes pride in consistent food quality and execution.
This position offers a competitive salary of $60,000-$65,000 , based on experience, along with Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Paid Meals, and Employee Discounts .

Your Role as Sous ChefAs the Sous Chef at The Block, you will work alongside the Chef to support daily kitchen operations and lead the BOH team. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading kitchen execution during assigned shifts
- Maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Coaching, training, and developing BOH team members
- Supporting prep, inventory, food cost, and waste control
- Maintaining food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Supporting ordering and product organization
- Partnering with FOH leadership to deliver a strong overall guest experience
- Helping create a positive, accountable, and team-focused kitchen culture
We're looking for someone with strong culinary skills and previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen. Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, communicates well, and can stay focused and positive in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable leading a team, holding standards, solving problems, and jumping in wherever needed to ensure a successful service.
