IT Service Technician

We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented IT Service Technician to provide technical support, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and service coordination for internal and external clients. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical service while ensuring timely resolution of incidents and maintaining accurate service documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to users experiencing issues with computers, laptops, printers, UPS systems, audiovisual equipment, scanners, and related devices.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
Respond to service requests via phone, Service Desk ticketing system, email, or in person.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
Configure operating systems including Windows and Linux (when required).
Install, update, and support software applications.
Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, technical configurations, and solutions within ticketing systems and Service Reports.
Ensure Service Reports are completed accurately and submitted daily, including ticket numbers, service tags, and dispatch information when applicable.
Escalate complex technical issues to higher support levels when necessary.
Monitor and maintain Service Desk platforms and service monitoring tools such as PrintFleet.
Coordinate service requests, order required parts from vendors, and provide timely status updates to customers.
Create daily service routes and visit customer locations when onsite support is required.
Configure email accounts, reset passwords, and support servers, switches, printers, and audiovisual installations.
Manage service parts inventory and coordinate returns to suppliers within established service timelines.

Additional Skills

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Previous experience in a similar technical support or field service role.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and end-user support.
Experience using ticketing systems and documenting service activities.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Own vehicle available for future service requirements (mileage reimbursement may apply).
