Perform routine housekeeping duties throughout VA medical center areas. Clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas. Sweep, mop, scrub floors using machines, vacuum carpets, and vacuum upholstered furniture. Empty waste baskets and discard trash. Clean light globes and Venetian blinds. Wash walls, windows, and ceilings by climbing small ladders. Refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers. Move furniture as needed. Address spills quickly to keep patient areas clean and safe. Install light bulbs in halls and rooms as assigned. Vacuum and polish floors. Carry out assignments with minimal supervision. Help maintain VA facilities for Veterans, families, visitors, and staff. Basic Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must meet Federal Wage System qualification requirements for the WG-2 level.
