Your experience may influence the work you are assigned, but you are looking to expand your expertise.The Day-to-Day:Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management, privacy, employment and other laws and regulations globallyConduct legal analysis of complex topics and translating this analysis into practical and succinct legal adviceParticipate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, which may include implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirementsLaunch new regulated entities (including incorporation and licensing)Draft or review various documents related to legal support of the business globally, which may include commercial contracts, employment agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, business guidelinesHandle corporate law and commercial mattersHandle employment law and litigation mattersDraft, review and negotiate vendor contractsCoordinate with external counsel on various mattersTrain and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other mattersYour Qualifications:Law degree from an accredited law school, with admission to a bar6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years of experience at a mid to large sized law firmSkill in effectively balancing business interests against legal and regulatory risks, and factoring in the bigger picture, strategic goalsFamiliarity with international investment management, employment or privacy laws in various jurisdictions will be beneficial, but not mandatoryCompensation:$195,000 - $285,000 base salary per year in the state of WA.
