MICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with a specialty in Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care during night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Shift and Schedule
- Shift: 3x12 hours, nights (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekend requirements: Every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Sepsis
- Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
- Renal failure
- Heart failure
- Alcohol withdrawal and overdose
- Multi-organ failure
- Post-cardiac arrest with targeted temperature management
- Respiratory failure/shock
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Use of EKOS, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and Impella devices
In this role, the nurse will maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, and occasionally 1:1 based on patient acuity.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- Must have EPIC experience for charting purposes
- Local candidates must reside over 75 miles from the job site
