Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Commercial Litigation and Trusts & Estates Litigation Practice Groups in White Plains, NY. This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a motivated attorney to engage in complex legal matters and collaborate with a dedicated team. Duties Draft pleadings, motion papers, discovery demands, and correspondence. Manage litigation matters from initial pleadings through trial. Appear for conferences, oral arguments, and other proceedings. Develop case strategies and communicate with clients, adversaries, and court staff. Conduct and defend depositions, including client preparation. Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations. Requirements Motivation and a proactive attitude with ownership of work. Strong oral and written advocacy skills, with excellent research and analytical ability. Experience in legal research, motion practice, court appearances, and depositions. Ability to balance priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines. Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction. Interest or experience in commercial litigation and/or trusts & estates litigation. Knowledge of New York Supreme Court and Surrogate's Court procedures preferred. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the New York State Bar (required). Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
