Team members join a values-driven organization committed to both clinical excellence and social responsibility. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cloud Engineer role based in Perth, WA. The Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments that support clinical and corporate systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, monitoring performance, and optimizing costs. The role will collaborate closely with software development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reliable services aligned with healthcare compliance and data protection requirements. The Cloud Engineer will also troubleshoot incidents, implement backup and disaster recovery strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement of cloud architecture and operations. Qualifications Strong Cloud Computing skills, including experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), networking concepts, security controls, and cost management.Infrastructure expertise covering server, storage, networking, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).Software Development capabilities such as scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate deployments, integrations, and operational tasks.Proficiency with Linux administration, including system configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and shell scripting in production environments.Database knowledge across relational and/or NoSQL databases, including backup, performance optimization, and integration in cloud architectures.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices.Understanding of security, privacy, and compliance requirements, ideally in healthcare or other regulated industries.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Industry certifications in cloud platforms or infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux) are highly regarded.
