This role is essential for ensuring the timely and secure transport of medical-related materials to and from internal and external customers.Contracted, 1099 position based in Phoenix, AZ. Shifts are typically between 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Hours are not guaranteed and coverage is as needed.Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to emergency coverage needsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issuesAdhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimensCommunicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructionsHandle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transportProvide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveriesAssist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling proceduresMaintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperworkCollaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues or challenges encountered during daily operationsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Valid driver's licensePersonal auto insurance (no additional coverage needed for company vehicle use during shift)Clean driving recordActive smartphone (Android or iPhone) with adequate data planFlexibility to work on short notice for emergency coverageMinimum of 2 years of driving experience in previous rolesAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsComfortable operating a vehicle for long periodsComfortable navigating routing software and GPSBasic computer proficiencyPreferred Qualifications:Previous medical courier experienceJob Type: 1099 ContractorSalary & Compensation: $22.00/hour (contractor rate; ineligible for monthly bonus opportunities)Benefits for 1099 Contractors:Paid trainingCompany vehicle provided during the shiftAbility to commute/relocate: Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas (Required)Application Deadline: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled before any stated deadline.If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume for consideration.
