As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to an efficient and welcoming environment for our patients. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilized.
• Manage patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff regarding treatments and procedures.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing materials for impressions, and assisting with 3D scanning when necessary.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their treatment plans.
• Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a friendly atmosphere for younger patients.
• Assist in the management of prosthodontics cases by preparing necessary materials and equipment.
• Assist in digital scans for sleep apnea patients.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RDA license (required)
• Proven 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical coding, dental terminology, and infection control practices is essential.
• Proficient with Open Dental software for managing patient records
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, showcasing ability to work well with children
• Proficiency in using 3D scanners for imaging purposes
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
• Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor
