Regional Technical Lead

Job Title: Regional Technical LeadJob Location: Houston, TXThe Regional Technical Lead, Industrial Projects will be accountable for the design, coordination, and delivery of technically compliant, competitive, and value‑driven bid solutions. The role leads technical bid coordination and acts as the primary technical writer, ensuring that solutions are clearly articulated, compliant, and aligned with customer value drivers.The role is responsible for managing technical inputs end‑to‑end across complex RFQs and tenders, ensuring adherence to governance, quality standards, and timelines, while supporting the sustainable growth of DHL Industrial Projects.Key Responsibilities:Works in close partnership with the Regional Commercial Lead and broader bid stakeholders to translate customer requirements and commercial strategy into robust technical solutions and high‑quality written proposals.Review, interpret, and break down complex RFQs and tender requirements for medium to large‑scale multimodal Industrial Projects, identifying technical challenges, risks, and value driversOwn and define the technical bid strategy for regional opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, operational feasibility, and the commercial strategy defined with the Regional Commercial LeadDesign and coordinate technically compliant, competitive, and differentiated logistics solutions covering scope, methodology, equipment, routing, interfaces, and execution assumptionsAct as the primary technical writer for bids, ensuring technical concepts, execution methodologies, and value propositions are clearly articulated and consistently reflected throughout the proposalCoordinate and manage technical inputs from operations, engineering, chartering, HSSE, and other subject‑matter experts, setting clear expectations, responsibilities, and timelinesEnsure technical solutions are fully aligned with commercial assumptions and pricing logic, working closely with the Regional Commercial Lead to avoid misalignment or submission riskManage bid timelines and technical deliverables, proactively addressing gaps, dependencies, or under‑performance to ensure on‑time, high‑quality submissionsEnsure all technical content complies with customer requirements, internal governance standards, templates, and applicable policiesIdentify technical risks and mitigation measures, supporting their documentation and alignment within the overall bid strategyApply industry expertise to identify trends, best practices, and solution enhancements that reduce operational risk and strengthen proposal qualityAct as a regional technical reference point, providing guidance, coaching, and support to contributors and helping uplift technical bid capability within the regionCollaborate with Global Bid Team, Engineering, and Technical experts where required to ensure consistency, quality, and application of best practicesSkills / Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualificationsMinimum of 8 years experience in Project LogisticsRequired experience with Breakbulk, Heavy Lift and Out of Gauge cargoFoundational knowledge of projects management principles and toolsMinimum of 3+ years experience in tender management or in similar roleStress resistant and quick learnerPay Range: $105,682.50 - $140,910.00+ (Based on Experience)Benefits (All Non-Union Employees)Compensation: Competitive base salary plus role dependent performance-based incentives.401(k) Match: $1-for-$1 match up to 4% quarterly + 2% annual base contribution.Stock Purchase Plan: Ability to purchase Deutsche Post AG shares at a discounted rate.Medical: Comprehensive plans covering preventive care, inpatient/outpatient services, and prescriptions.Vision: Optional coverage for exams, frames, and contacts.Dental: Optional coverage for preventive, basic, and major services.Paid Time Off: 7 major holidays, 8 floating holidays, and accrued vacation/sick days.Why Join DHL Global Forwarding?At DHL Global Forwarding, we invest in our employees’ growth, providing training, guidance, and career advancement opportunities.
