**CORE JOB SUMMARY**The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) delivers medical care to a wide variety of patients. The APRN is also examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care. *This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.*The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is searching for an Advanced PracticeRegistered Nurse (APRN) to work along the Interventional Cardiology team at UHealth, both in the outpatient and inpatient services. The selected candidate will provide direct clinical care to cardiovascular patients and should have experience in cardiology/interventional/cardiac ICU experience and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.The APRN will work with supervising faculty members to manage all patient medical needs. Takes part in quality assurance audits, including continuing education, CP review, medication administration review, and peer review Ensures participation in continuing nursing education and training to keep abreast of current developments in the industry Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the superior **Position Requirements:** State of Florida license to practice as Advanced Practice Nurse Minimum of 5 years of APRN hospital and cardiac experience requiredAny combination of relevant education, work experience and/or certifications will be considered Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care Ability to consistently present a friendly, welcoming, and professional public-facing appearance Experience with EPIC strongly preferred.The mission of the University of Miami is to transform lives through education, research, innovation, and service.
