Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Job Description Daviess Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to fill a PRN position at our QuickCare Clinic. The role requires educating patients and families on medications, diseases, treatment plans, and procedures for a diverse patient population, collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver optimal care and ensure good outcomes. Develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases. Educate and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits. Understand changes in health promotion throughout the aging process. Display knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and provide age‑appropriate care. Perform diagnostic tests and screening evaluations. Manage overall patient care concerning lifestyle and developmental issues. Emphasize preventative care and disease management. Communicate appropriately and clearly with coworkers. Prescribe medications using appropriate references. Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs. Revise the plan of care based on patient response. Complete computerized documentation in patient charts within the required timeframe. Apply clinic policies and procedures, performance improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner License or current Physician Assistant license. Current BLS certification. ACLS certified. Confidence in diagnosing, treating, educating, and assisting patients of all ages to manage illnesses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident with EMR documentation and computer skills. Experience preferred but not mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
