Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Holmdel, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• 5 Days per Week (40 Hours)
• No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays

A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves applying the nursing process to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient care, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Scrub and circulate across a wide variety of surgical cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and evaluate non-nursing personnel in the operating room.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital operating room.
• Ability to scrub and circulate for all types of surgical cases.
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills for developing effective care plans.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• General Surgery (including laparoscopic and robotic procedures)
• Orthopedics / Spine / Podiatry
• Urology
• ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
• Vascular Surgery

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Required:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License
• Preferred:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS

• English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) required
• Strong documentation and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a structured surgical schedule
