Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in HVAC design, project coordination, and construction documentation. Base Pay Range $90,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Lead and support mechanical project design from conceptual phase through construction documentation for small to mid‑sized projects. Prepare HVAC layouts, equipment selections, and duct/piping systems aligned with building codes, energy standards, and LEED requirements. Perform detailed load calculations, energy modeling, and economic analyses. Collaborate with internal departments (Project Management, Construction, Controls, etc.) and external partners to ensure coordinated, buildable designs. Conduct field engineering during project execution — including coordination, troubleshooting, and document management. Ensure the quality and accuracy of design drawings and Revit/CAD models. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client expectations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred but not required. Minimum 3+ years of mechanical design experience within a design/build or consulting environment. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, Title 24, energy compliance, and mechanical codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and common engineering tools.
