Senior Java Developer

Role Description
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software applications. The developer will have a solid understanding of Java fundamentals and designing & developing a system using a Java-based stack of technologies like Spring and Hibernate.
- Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications.
- Follow established software development standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement.
- Support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and systems.
- Participate in peer code and design reviews.
- Coordinate with departments and users in the support of business applications.
- Contribute software development expertise to multiple projects and ensure that specifications are met.
- Develop complex application features and create technical designs.
- Represent the IT department in terms of software development expertise in coordination with other departments.
- Provide technical assistance to the team, as needed.
Qualifications
- Over ten years of directly related experience.
- Five years of operational and/or technical business leadership experience.
- Over ten years of experience in Java development, T-SQL/SQL, Oracle, Postgres, SDLC tools, source control, and RDBMS concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Java (10+ years).
- Hands-on experience with Spring, Hibernate, JPA (3-5 years).
- Creating SQL objects, joins, querying experience (3-5 years).
- Experience with VueJS or similar (REACT JS/Angular) (2-3 years).
- Solid understanding of transactions, security, and various design patterns.

- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical training with certification.
