The individual in this position collaborates closely with team members and leverages their knowledge to support others, contributing to overall efficiency and operational success.ResponsibilitiesOperate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products to the appropriate areasLoad and unload trucks efficiently in accordance with department standardsStock all goods in a safe and stable mannerCommunicate pertinent information to relief at shift changeFollow all safety policies and proceduresMaintain work area in an organized, safe and clean mannerKnow locations and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishersComplete forklift checklistMonitor and record all products returned/receivedCheck accuracy of finished product count on pallets, product ID, ensure all pallets only have one port ticket on them when removing from lines and accurately complete all required paperworkFill forklift propane tank at end of shiftAccurate cycle counts as designated by the team leadersEffective organization and staging of materials to support the accuracy of inventoriesKnowledge of LOTO procedures is a plusQualificationsMinimum of one year recent forklift experience preferredMinimum of one year sit-down experience requiredClamp attachment operation a plusMust be able to work in a fast paced environmentBasic knowledge of mathematicsAbility to communicate orally and in writing (English required)Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervisionWill be required to be certified in Lockout/Tag Out and Forklift Operation upon assignmentSkills and competencies:Mathematical skills: Ability to do simple math equations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and percentages) and able to use calculatorMechanical skills: Basic knowledge of machinery or process required. May be required to stop machine, shut off glue lines, clear jammed clamshellsCommunication skills: Must be able to read, write & understand basic English and/or Spanish. Able to communicate effectively, positively interact with coworkers and management and deal effectively & professionally under pressureComputer skills: Ability to learn and use internal programs such as Insight, Maintenance Connection, etc.Education requirements:Grade 10 or equivalent education; up to and including 1 year of related training or experienceMust obtain a Pactiv Lift Truck LicenseMust obtain a valid state driver's licenseMust not have any active step-two write upsMust have less than 4 attendance pointsPhysical requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsPactiv Evergreen is now a part of Novolex.
