Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2580 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away. Unable to approve time off around Labor Day.

Unit Details: General medicine unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal conditions, including diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. Nurse-driven heparin infusions, insulin drips via Glucomander, telemetry, nurse-driven flu vaccination, and CAPD. Patient ratios: 4:1 days, 5:1 nights and weekends.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend. RTO max: 40 hours.
