(AFM) as Part‑time Administrative Assistant responsible for providing crucial administrative support to our forestry personnel in a client‑focused forest management business. Reporting directly to the District Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency. About American Forest Management, Inc. AFM’s services include land and wildlife management; land sales and acquisitions; forest inventory, planning, and design; growth and yield modeling; cash‑flow projections; environmental and farmland services; appraisal; forest resource data management; and harvest scheduling. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Generate service contracts for harvesting operations and road work using standardized forms and information provided by foresters. Accurately input service contract data into our forest management and accounting systems. Code and enter accounts payable data into specialized forest accounting software. Manage incoming phone calls, providing information or redirecting them as necessary. Handle daily mail collection from the post office, sorting incoming mail, and assisting with outgoing mail and shipments. Operate office machinery proficiently for data input and retrieval, organizing maintenance as needed. Compose and type routine correspondence to be sent via mail, email, or fax. Undertake additional related duties as needed or assigned. Qualifications Preferred: Associate’s Degree. Office experience involving various computer software and a demonstrated ability to effectively manage detailed data tasks. Adaptability to learn and proficiently use forest accounting systems. Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Familiarity with office procedures and equipment. Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality with both customer and internal information. Ability to foster strong team relationships with managers, colleagues, clients, vendors, and customers. Exceptional customer service skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication. Strong ability to prioritize workload effectively.
