Job Title: Facilities Technician

Location: Pomona, CA

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25.50/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician II to support the ongoing operation, maintenance, and reliability of facilities and utilities equipment across our Pomona site. This role handles hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance administration, and vendor/contractor coordination in a regulated facility environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot core site utilities and facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, compressed air, vacuum systems, emergency generators, power distribution, and city/well water systems.
• Administer and update the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) for work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance procedures and frequencies aligned with manufacturer manuals and equipment reliability data.
• Perform minor facility repairs, including lighting, plumbing, electrical installations/wiring, wall patching/painting, ceiling tiles, and flooring (sheet vinyl and VCT).
• Coordinate, escort, and oversee outside contractors and specialty vendors on-site.
• Source and maintain appropriate inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Support site security systems, including access control, security badging, and CCTV maintenance.
• Organize small internal build-outs, office moves, and conference room configurations.
• Mentor and assist Facilities Technician I personnel as needed.
• Ensure all activities strictly comply with safety standards, internal SOPs, and regulatory agency requirements (ISO, FDA, and OSHA).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of commercial/industrial facilities maintenance experience, preferably within a medical device, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, and flooring repair.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and experience with CMMS software (Maximo preferred).
• High attention to detail, collaborative teamwork, proactive problem-solving, and solid written and verbal communication skills.
