Customer Service Representative

About the Role We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused *Customer Support Representative* to support the *Kwikset* product line, a leading brand in residential lock and smart lock technology. This role provides technical support and customer assistance for products ranging from traditional locks to advanced smart locks featuring keypad and mobile access technology.
As the first point of contact for consumers, you will help troubleshoot product issues, provide installation guidance, and deliver solutions that create a positive customer experience. Many calls involve urgent situations, including customers who may be locked out of their homes, making empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving skills essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to high-volume inbound customer calls and emails regarding product issues, installation assistance, and general product information.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Kwikset lock products, including smart lock technology.
* Guide customers through installation processes and product feature functionality.
* Accurately document customer interactions and case details in company systems.
* Evaluate product concerns and determine whether products should be repaired, replaced, or scrapped according to company procedures.
* Resolve customer concerns with professionalism, tact, and strong customer service skills.
* Direct customers to appropriate resources when additional assistance is needed.
* Maintain product knowledge and stay current on new products, features, and support procedures.
* Assist with other customer service and technical support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Required
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to type *35+ WPM*.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-service mindset.
* Basic mechanical aptitude.
* Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new products and technologies.
Preferred
* 1+ year of experience in a customer service, product support, technical support, or call center environment.
* Experience in the hardware, home improvement, or related industry.
* Bilingual in *Spanish or French* is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, CA.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
