Senior Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist

Description

We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist with strong mortgage industry recruiting experience to lead high-volume hiring while supporting day-to-day HR operations. This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who knows how to headhunt, engage passive candidates, build talent pipelines, and fill hiring classes at scale. The position will primarily focus on recruiting, with additional responsibility for onboarding, HR administration and other generalist duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting across mortgage sales, operations, and corporate roles.
• Lead high-volume and class-based recruiting initiatives.
• Proactively source and headhunt passive mortgage candidates.
• Build talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring profiles, class sizes, timelines, and recruiting strategies.
• Conduct candidate screens and manage candidates through interview, offer, and acceptance.
• Track recruiting activity, class fill rates, time to fill, offer acceptance, and candidate conversion.
• Maintain accurate recruiting records within the ATS.

HR Generalist & Administration

• Coordinate new-hire onboarding.
• Maintain personnel files, HRIS records, and employee documentation.
• Prepare offer letters, status changes, compensation changes, and other HR correspondence.
• Support benefits administration and routine employee HR questions.
• Assist with leave administration, training records, compliance documentation, and HR audits.
• Support employee relations and other HR projects as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and candidate information.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, though not required.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting/HR experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience

• 5+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including mortgage industry recruiting experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with high-volume recruiting and hiring classes, strong passive sourcing and headhunting experience, and experience recruiting mortgage sales and/or operations professionals.
• Previous HR generalist or HR administrative experience, and experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, job boards, and sourcing tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and candidate-closing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in consumer-direct, call center, retail mortgage, or centralized mortgage operations.
• Familiarity with NMLS-related hiring processes.
• Experience working in both agency/search and in-house recruiting environments.
• Familiarity with California HR practices.

Salary Description

$98,000 - $110,000
