About The Role Orveon Global is seeking a PR expert to lead public relations for bareMinerals and Laura Mercier at a pivotal moment for both brands, with major restages coming to life. This person will be instrumental in reshaping how media and consumers see both brands, translating restage strategy into compelling press narratives and driving day-to-day media relations, agency management, and brand storytelling. This role also requires fluency in how PR and press coverage shape brand visibility within AI-powered search and chat tools (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, etc.) a critical and growing part of how consumers discover and evaluate beauty brands today. What You’ll Do Own day-to-day media relations for bareMinerals and Laura Mercier, building and maintaining relationships with beauty, lifestyle, and business press. Translate the bareMinerals and Laura Mercier restages into sharp, differentiated brand narratives for media and consumers, rebuilding brand story and relevance in the current landscape. Manage the PR agency relationship day-to-day; briefing, reviewing output, tracking deliverables, and holding the agency accountable to results. Lead press strategy and execution for product launches, brand moments, and events (i.e. editorial partnerships tied to Best of Beauty-type recognition). Partner with the Director of PR & Influencer Strategy to ensure PR efforts are integrated with influencer, social, and paid media strategy. Support executive presence and visibility in media, including CEO positioning and spokesperson opportunities. Build and protect founder and heritage storytelling for both brands, with particular focus on Laura Mercier given the founder's continued active involvement --- developing narrative opportunities that connect her voice and legacy to the brand's current relaunch. Monitor and help optimize how both brands show up in AI-powered search and chat tools, working with the Director and cross-functional partners to strengthen brand visibility, accuracy, and sentiment in AI-generated answers (AEO/GEO). Manage briefing documents, communications materials, and stakeholder updates for press initiatives. Track and report on PR performance (media placements, sentiment, share of voice, AI visibility) and translate results into recommendations. Stay ahead of trends in the beauty and media landscape, bringing proactive ideas for earned media opportunities. What You Bring 5 years of PR experience (Manager) with deep expertise in beauty or closely adjacent prestige consumer categories. Established relationships with beauty and lifestyle media, editors, and key industry contacts. Proven experience managing PR agencies day-to-day, including briefing, output review, and performance accountability. Track record of shaping brand narrative and media perception, ideally through a brand relaunch, restage, or repositioning moment. Working knowledge of how PR and earned media content influence brand visibility in AI-powered search and chat tools (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity), and experience or strong point of view on optimizing for AI answer engines (AEO/GEO). Strong writer and storyteller, comfortable developing press materials, briefing docs, and narrative frameworks. Experience managing press strategy for product launches and brand events. Experience supporting executive or founder-led media strategy, including positioning spokespeople and building narratives around a leader's or founder's personal story and legacy. Highly collaborative, able to work closely with influencer, social, and paid media counterparts to ensure a unified brand voice. Pay Transparency - One of our values is Stark Honesty and the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At Orveon Global, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $110,000-130,000 supplemented with all the amazing benefits above for full-time employees!
