Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a hospital setting. The therapist will be responsible for patient assessment, ventilator management, airway care, medication administration, arterial blood gas collection, and treatment of neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and critical care patients.

Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed
• Monitor and manage mechanically ventilated patients
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and interpret results
• Assist with airway management, intubation support, and suctioning procedures
• Assess respiratory status and recommend appropriate interventions
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and charge entry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in orientation, training, and quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Active CRT or RRT credential through NBRC
• Active state license required
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain per facility requirements)
• NRP certification required
• Experience with ventilator management and critical care patients
