Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics setting
• Deliver patient care during overnight shifts in accordance with facility protocols and scope of practice
• Perform neuro diagnostics and respiratory assessments as required by the unit
• Float within scope of practice to other areas as operationally needed
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as required

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 4 years strongly preferred
• Active state license required; Virginia license pending accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained prior to start date (must hold a license in another state to be eligible for temporary licensure)
• Epic EMR experience required
• References required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• 4 or more years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute or critical care environment
