About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Location

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Every other weekend and every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Respiratory and Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Deliver patient care during overnight shifts in accordance with facility protocols and scope of practice
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as required by the facility
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including documentation in Epic

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; 4 years strongly preferred
• Active Virginia state license required (pending license accepted provided temporary license is obtained before start date; must hold an active license in another state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license)
• Epic EMR experience required
• References required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• 4 or more years of Respiratory Therapist experience preferred
